COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if Amberfield is the right fit for my family member?
We welcome families to visit and meet our team before making any decisions. We find that a face-to-face conversation — and seeing the environment — helps people feel much more settled. Please call us or fill in the enquiry form and we will arrange a tour at a time that suits you.
Can services be combined or adjusted over time?
Yes. Many residents begin with one service and add others as their needs change. For example, a resident in a Personal Care Suite may later add the Night Watch Service or Health Monitoring Retainer. We review care arrangements regularly and discuss any changes with families directly.
What qualifications does your care staff hold?
All care staff hold relevant certifications in elderly care and first aid. Staff assigned to health monitoring work under the oversight of registered nurses and coordinate with licensed physicians as needed. We maintain ongoing training to keep the team current with best practices in geriatric care.
How is the monthly fee structured and what does it cover?
The Personal Care Suite fee of RM 3,500/month covers accommodation, meals, personal care, and housekeeping. The Health Monitoring Retainer (RM 450/month) and Night Watch Service (RM 200/night) are priced separately. We will walk you through a clear breakdown during your initial consultation so there are no surprises.
Can family members visit at any time?
We encourage family involvement. Visits during reasonable hours are always welcome, and we maintain open communication with families through regular updates and our health reporting system. We also accommodate special occasions and can arrange private spaces for family gatherings when needed.
Is the Night Watch Service available for home-based clients?
Yes. The Night Watch Service is offered both within our Subang Jaya facility and as an outreach service for elderly individuals living at home in the Selangor area. Please speak with us about your location and we will let you know if we can accommodate your situation.
